The pride and joy of owning Real Property is immeasurable. Deeply rooted in what we normally associate as the American Dream, the prospect of possessing the rights to and improving land are some of the fundamental principles that make this nation great. And, this region of Southern California, so highly coveted by many prospective property owners, is especially rich in Real Estate history. It is one thing to be involved in the transfer of property as I am on a daily basis, but another aspect of this world I am completely smitten by are the individual histories and stories of the homes people have created as a result of our inalienable right to possess property. As for the title of this blog, Immoveables is another name for Real Property, and a riff on the great American author, Ernest Hemingway and his stories in The Immoveable Feast. Being an amateur historian has allowed me to collect and compose some stories here. In this series of Real Estate vignettes, I wish to present to you some of these histories. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
